Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Microsoft 365 subscriptions are tied to the Microsoft account used to buy them. A direct check of those accounts is required.
To verify whether there are two subscriptions:
- Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services with the Gmail-based Microsoft account.
- Check whether a Microsoft 365 Family subscription appears and whether recurring billing or auto-renew is turned on.
- Sign out.
- Sign in again with the iCloud-based Microsoft account.
- Check whether a second Microsoft 365 Family subscription appears there.
If both accounts show an active subscription, then there are two separate subscriptions.
If only one account shows the subscription, use that account for Microsoft 365. If the other subscription was created by mistake, go to Manage > Cancel subscription for that account. If eligible, a refund may be available under Microsoft’s refund policy.
If the newer subscription was purchased through a third-party billing partner such as Apple App Store or Google Play, subscription changes and cancellation may need to be handled through that billing partner instead of directly in Microsoft account services.
