When adding Meeting Details to a OneNote page, it used to include Recordings, AI-powered meeting summary, and AI-suggested tasks.

Now it no longer includes those:

Can you please add them back? That feature was very useful. Thanks.

    Hi El,

I hope you're doing well, and I appreciate you taking the time to explain this clearly.

This change is happening because these sections rely on Teams Intelligent Recap, which requires a Teams Premium license or a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, as well as an active recording or transcript for the meeting. Since Meeting Details in OneNote pulls this content directly from the Teams recap, any gap in licensing, transcription, or syncing timing can cause those sections to be missing when the meeting is inserted into OneNote.

Below are some workarounds that suit your situation:

1/ Confirm your Copilot and Teams Premium licensing status

    • Please check with your Microsoft 365 admin that your account currently holds an active Teams Premium or Copilot license, since these sections rely on that entitlement to generate and display automatically.

2/ Verify meeting recording and transcription settings

    • Before your next meeting, make sure recording and transcription are turned on in Teams meeting options, as the AI summary and suggested tasks are generated only when a transcript is available for that session.
    • Reference: Recap in Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Support

3/ Refresh the OneNote meeting details insert

    • For a meeting that already ended without these sections, open the meeting in Teams, select Meeting Details again from Insert Outlook Item, and re-add it to your OneNote page so the latest data, including any available recording link, summary, and suggested tasks, is pulled into the page.

I completely understand how these changes in OneNote can feel disruptive. As this is a user-to-user community forum, I don’t have the ability to modify or escalate product issues directly. However, I strongly recommend submitting your feedback through the OneNote · Community. This is the most effective way to ensure your voice reaches the product team and can be considered for future improvements.

Once you've submitted your feedback, feel free to share the link here in the comments. I’ll be happy to upvote it to help bring more visibility.

Additionally, since many other users have expressed similar concerns but may not know where to submit feedback, if my response has helped you better understand the situation and guided you toward a possible next step, please mark it as 'Yes'. Your action will help pin this post to the top, making it easier for others in the community who are experiencing the same issue to find your feedback and support it.

I hope this information is helpful. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to share them in the comment below. I'm very happy to help.
