I just bought a new PC, that qualified for the deal at Best Buy. I just set it up, with my personal email, as was recommended and am now trying to figure out how to link my student email as to be able to claim the bundle. I have been at it for about 2 hours trying to figure it out. What do I need to do?

    Hello @Isabella

You normally shouldn't need to change the Microsoft account used to set up your new PC just to verify student eligibility.

The student email is generally used to verify eligibility for the promotion, while the Microsoft account used to redeem/activate the included Microsoft products may be your personal Microsoft account, depending on the specific Best Buy offer.

Since this is a Best Buy promotional bundle, the first thing I would check is the purchase confirmation email/receipt for a redemption link or instructions. Also check your Best Buy account under the order details for any digital items, activation instructions, or redemption codes included with the PC.

If the offer asks you to verify student status, follow the verification link supplied with the promotion and enter your school information there. I wouldn't add your school account to Windows or change your primary Microsoft account unless the promotion specifically instructs you to do so.

If you don't see a redemption link/code, contact Best Buy support with the order number and ask them to confirm how the Back to School Ultimate Bundle attached to that purchase is redeemed.

If you can post the bundle description from your receipt/order page (without your order number or personal information), we can probably tell you exactly which redemption process applies.
