OneDrive Problem Signing In to Desktop App

The OneDrive desktop app suddenly stopped working today - I was signed out after a forced PC restart due to the PC hanging on the sign-in screen. When I restarted the PC and completed disk check, OneDrive would not sign in again. It gives the following error: "There was a problem signing you in. Please try again in a few minutes."

Things I've tried:

  1. Quitting the app and signing in again (I do this before all of the steps below this)
  2. Clearing all Windows Credentials related to my sign in (including windows signins not related to OneDrive)
  3. Deleting the PreSignInSettingsConfig.json under AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\settings
  4. cmdadmin: C:\Program Files\Microsoft OneDrive\OneDrive.exe /reset
  5. Restarting the PC, multiple times
  6. Reinstalling OneDrive, multiple times
  7. Verifying that I can access OneDrive online and on other PCs
  8. Verifying that storage is not full
  9. sfc /scannow, which did repair some files related to OneDrive. I ran it again to ensure there were no remaining files to repair
  10. Selecting unlink this PC under OneDrive settings (it shows no accounts logged in here)
  11. Disabling VPN
  12. Using the "create account dialog" to get to the sign in page in the popup and signing in there - it seems to accept the credentials I type in and then gives me the same error

Somehow, when I do all of these things, OneDrive still autopopulates my username/email in the field when I reopen the app to go sign in. It seems like it's still storing my credentials somewhere, and I'm able to sign in to a Work/School account, but it's just my personal account that's giving problems.

Update - uninstalled OneDrive, deleted all OneDrive folders where possible from AppData and Program Files, ran chkdsk -f on reboot, and reinstalled OneDrive. This fixed the issue. Hope this helps someone.
