Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Hi Alice,
Regarding your concern, the inquiry is mostly correct. In this case, you must contact Microsoft Support because once an Office/Microsoft 365 product key has been redeemed, the license is tied to the Microsoft account used during redemption, and the key itself is no longer the main activation method.
I’d like to gently clarify that this is a user-to-user support forum, and as a user here, I’m not part of the Microsoft Support team, so I don’t have the ability to directly cancel subscriptions or intervene on billing matters.
You can reach out to Microsoft Support by:
For Personal/retail Office license
- Use the Microsoft Support contact page > log in to your Microsoft account.
- Enter "agent support" in the search bar and press Enter or click on Get Help.
- Ignore the search results and click on the "Contact Support" button at the bottom.
- On the next page, select "Microsoft 365 and Office" and "Technical Support" from the drop-down lists, and then click on "Confirm" > "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" > enter your email address and click on "Confirm".
- A chat window will open in a new tab. Wait for the operator to respond and describe the situation to him.
Note: The chat is available during business hours and on business days according to US time.
For Business account through a company Microsoft 365 admin

- Sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center with a Microsoft administrator account.
- On right bottom corner, click on "Help & support"
- Turn off the "Support Assistant" feature.
- Use the keyword "Support" to quickly bypass automated suggestions > Select Contact Support.
- In the ticket description, please clearly describe the issue and share your preferred contact times that may help the support team handle the case more efficiently.
