Using classic Outlook for Windows in business environments
Hi,
Regarding your concern, unfortunately, as of now, Outlook does have a quick Block Sender action, but it does not provide a one-click “block this sender’s domain” command in the normal message menu. The quick Block Sender action only blocks the individual sender address, not the whole domain. The documented way to block a domain is to add the domain manually to the Blocked senders list, as you have done.
On the other hand, to check whether you have "classic Outlook" or "New Outlook", the easiest way is to look at the top-right corner of your Outlook interface:
- If you see a Settings gear/button > that's New Outlook
- If there isn't a Settings gear/button and you also have a File tab > that's classic Outlook
That said, based on the steps you have done via Junk > Junk email options . . . > Blocked Senders (tab), you're using classic Outlook. If you're using New Outlook, the path would be Settings gear > Mail > Junk email > Blocked domains > Add the domain @spamdomain.com and then Save. Compared to classic Outlook, New Outlook may have fewer clicks, but still there isn't a one-click solution to block a domain.
I understand this may not be the answer you're hoping for. As a forum user, I hope you understand that I don’t have the ability to modify or escalate product issues directly. I can only help confirm how the product behaves and ensure you have clear information.
If this affects your workflow or you think this feature should be improved, I strongly recommend submitting your feedback through the Ideas · Community. This is the most effective way to ensure your voice reaches the product team and can be considered for future improvements.
Once you've submitted your feedback, feel free to share the link here in the comments. I’ll be happy to upvote it to help bring more visibility.
Additionally, as other users have raised similar concerns and may not be aware of where to share their feedback, I hope this response helps clarify the situation and suggests a potential next step. Highlighting this information can make it more visible to others in the community who may be facing the same issue, making it easier for them to find guidance and contribute their feedback as well.
