A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
The error points to a corrupted OneDrive installation. Reinstalling the OneDrive app is the supported fix. Uninstalling the app does not delete OneDrive files stored on the PC or in the cloud; it only removes the sync app.
Simple steps:
- Open Start.
- Type Add or remove programs and open it.
- In Apps & features, find Microsoft OneDrive.
- Select Microsoft OneDrive > Uninstall.
- Restart the PC.
- Download and install the OneDrive app again.
- Open OneDrive and sign in.
- Let OneDrive scan files and resume syncing.
If OneDrive will not uninstall normally, the supported guidance for error code 0x8004de80 or 0x8004de86 is still to uninstall and reinstall the app.
