I am trying to set up and use my personal Microsoft account for Microsoft Azure, but I have been unable to complete the authentication process.

I am experiencing the following issues:

  1. When Azure asks for a 6-digit verification code, Microsoft Authenticator is showing an 8-digit code for my account.
  2. At other times, the sign-in process asks me to use a passkey, but I am unable to complete the authentication successfully.
  3. I have removed and re-added the account in Microsoft Authenticator, but the issue persists.
  4. I have tried the sign-in process using different browsers/devices.
  5. I have also attempted both Azure Free and Pay-As-You-Go subscription setup, but I continue to get blocked during authentication.

I am able to access my Microsoft account in some scenarios, but the Azure authentication/subscription setup is not completing successfully.

I am trying to use Azure for Microsoft certification training and hands-on development.

Could you please help me verify the authentication configuration associated with my Microsoft account and advise how I can correctly configure Microsoft Authenticator/passkey authentication so that I can access Azure and create/use my Azure subscription?

I can provide screenshots of the authentication prompts and error messages if required.

Thank you for your assistance.
