Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
If the subscription now shows the next payment due on 7 September 2026, the payment was recorded, but the notification can still remain because the subscription status in the Office apps has not refreshed yet.
Try these steps:
- Sign in to your Microsoft account subscriptions page and confirm the subscription shows as Active with no payment alert.
- In an Office app such as Word or Excel, go to File > Account and select Update License.
- If the notice still appears, sign out of Office in the app, close the app, reopen it, and sign in again.
- Restart the device after signing out, then open the Office app and sign back in.
Additional points from Microsoft support content:
- If recurring billing is on, payment details can be changed from the subscription’s Manage page using Change how you pay.
- If a physical retail box or card was used, the subscription does not fully start until the product key is redeemed.
- If the renewal status online is correct but the notification still continues, contact Microsoft Support.
