Why is my 365 invitation to my husband still pending>

I have an active Microsoft 365 Family subscription with available sharing slots. I invited my husband using the same email address as his Microsoft account. The invitation arrives. He signs into his Microsoft account successfully. When he clicks "Join now" on the Microsoft Family Safety invitation page, he receives "Sorry, something went wrong." His status remains "Pending" in my Manage Sharing page. I have a TraceId from the error screen. ZaxCk62xlkWBLpTI.28.156

Hi,

The invitation itself appears to be reaching him, so the issue seems to occur when his Microsoft account tries to join your Family group.

Microsoft only allows an account to be in one Microsoft Family group at a time. If he is already in another group, he would need to leave that group before joining yours.

Can you please check the following?

When your husband signs in at https://account.microsoft.com/family, does it show that he is already part of another Family group?

If so, does it give him an option to leave that group?

Have you already tried canceling/removing the pending invitation from your side and then sending him a new invitation?
