I have a Microsoft personal account. My current primary alias is gp***@live.com. I created a new Microsoft alias tek***@outlook.com, but the Manage account username page does not show “Make primary” next to any secondary alias. It only shows “Remove.” I need to make tek***@outlook.com primary so I can disable sign-in for my exposed gp***@live.com alias. Please do not remove or delete the gp***@live.com alias.

I repro the issue too by going to https://account.live.com/names/manage. Must be a bug. I reported the issue in Outlook. To help make it a priority please do the same. Go to Outlook.com. Click Help, Feedback, Report a Problem. I took a screen shot of my Outlook.com page to show the missing Make Primary and included with my report. Please do the same.
This is a pretty important feature. I suspect if they don't fix it soon it will be posted on the Known Issue page, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/support/known-issues/fixes-or-workarounds-for-recent-issues-on-outlook-com.
I am seeing the Make Primary is back on my account when going to https://account.live.com/names/manage. Hopefully its back for you as well.
Mine is back too, and I was able to change the primary to a different alias! Now I won’t receive dozens of Authenticator requests from people trying to break into my email anymore!!!

An alternative solution to stop unsolicited Authenticator notifications - just mute the Authenticator app.

Since Saturday, the male primary button in front of the alias has been missing. Many users are reporting this.
To draw Microsoft's attention, could you click Feedback in the bottom right and let them know?
The more reports they get, the earlier it gets fixed.
