Fake email blocking legit email

A fake email address is connected to my legit email address and each time someone uses my actual email address it send a reply that emails cannot be delivered. f

You should also log into https://account.live.com/activity to see if there are any unrecognized but successful logins. If there are, you need to protect your account by changing your password to something long, complex and completely unique - never reuse passwords. Plus, you should add multifactor authentication or passkeys.

    I could login to my main email address but not into the unknown one. Either way turning off the Forwarding, which had the wrong one, does seem to have stopped the problem. I need to get someone else to test but so far so good.

    Just found the forwarding area and yes it has that address for 'forwarding' I've turned that off and so far a quick check sending an email to myself has stopped the problem

    If you are being told that the address doesn't exist when you try to log into it, then how are you trying to send mail, since you cannot log in?

    The 'Fake' email address does not appear in any list and when the I try to log in to it in Outlook it says the account doesn't exist and yet is on a list when I Start to type my email address to send an email. The beginning of my actual email address starts with the same word. There is a possibility that the unknown address goes back to an old Skype account but there seems to be no way of checking
