The initial email I logged in with is associated with my son's name for when he plays his games. I am trying to create a new account as well as receive my free subscription of Microsoft 365.

Do you want to create a separate Windows user profile, or a completely new Microsoft account and email address?

Also, regarding the free Microsoft 365 subscription:

Was the offer included with a new computer or provided by a retailer?

Has the offer already been claimed using your son’s Microsoft account?

When you sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services is the subscription or offer listed?

Microsoft accounts cannot be merged, and subscriptions or purchases normally remain with the account used to claim them. If the offer has not been claimed yet, do not redeem it until you have created the new account you want to use.
