Following on from your previous question, using Windows update is a safe method to install driver and firmware updates, you can safely download and install the updates indicated below, the other duplicate updates do not need to be installed.

I asked about this a day or 2 ago and am still confused even though I accepted the answer. My Norton was telling me to update Microsoft UEFI- Compliant System. I checked on the Microsoft site and the Microsoft UEFI- Compliant System seemed to refer to updating from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I checked for updates and Microsoft updates tells me I am up to date. I re-scanned my Norton devices and it still lists it. Can anyone tell me what this update does? I did update my Advanced Options and turned all on except for download over metered connections. There were 8 optional Dell firmware and Intel updates, but 5 of the Intel driver updates were identical. (See screenshot)

2026-08-05T15:10:43.16+00:00 Yes, that is the best option never use Norton or any other 3rd party utility to update your drivers, only ever use Windows update or go to the support page for your PC on the manufacturers website to update drivers to ensure system stability.

2026-08-05T15:35:24.6833333+00:00 Good advice. I just checked the Microsoft update site and 10.0 26100.8972 is not listed. I am going to check with Norton about that. I should be able to use the Norton updater for Norton updates, although their updates may be automatically installed.
