Is there supposed to be a Spam folder in Outlook 2024?

I can only see what shows in the screenshot.

I OutlookFolders

If it is in fact missing, how do I recover it?

Using my own AT&T/Yahoo account in Classic Outlook Version 2607, I can confirm that the Yahoo "Spam" folder is the "Bulk" folder to an IMAP client.

    Dear George Sinkinson,

Hope you fine. I see that you are experiencing difficulties syncing folders between your IMAP account and Classic Outlook.

To better understand your issue, please provide the following information:

    • Where did you purchase Office LTSC? Directly from Microsoft or through a third-party seller?
    • Have you attempted to remove and readd your account in Classic Outlook?
    • Have you tried using New Outlook? Did the issue occur there as well?

If you’re able to share a bit more about your situation, I might be able to suggest some helpful next steps.

    Hi George Sinkinson,

Outlook itself normally uses the name Junk Email rather than Spam, but the folder structure can vary depending on the type of account and the mail provider. From the screenshot alone, it isn't possible to tell whether a junk-mail folder is actually missing or whether it is represented by another folder, such as Bulk.

Could you let me know what type of account is configured in Outlook (Microsoft 365/Exchange, Outlook.com, IMAP, POP, etc.)? You can check this under File > Account Settings > Account Settings > Email and looking at the Type column.

In the meantime, I would suggest checking the mailbox through the provider's webmail interface to see whether it contains a folder named Junk, Spam, or Bulk. That will help determine whether the folder exists on the server but is not currently displayed in Outlook.

If the account turns out to be IMAP and the spam/junk folder exists in webmail but not in Outlook, Outlook can be configured to display subscribed server folders by using IMAP Folders > Query and subscribing to the missing folder. Microsoft documents that process here: Choose which IMAP account folders appear in Outlook.

Please note that this is a user-to-user forum, so contributors cannot access account or server-side mailbox settings. Once you confirm the account type, it should be possible to narrow down whether the folder is genuinely missing or simply named differently.
