Artifact Signing organization validation stuck after successful Authenticator Face Check
Meha-MSFT asked me in this related thread to create a separate Q&A so that our identifiers can be requested privately.
Product and validation type
- Azure Artifact Signing (East US)
- Public organization identity validation
- Portal status: Action Required (the detail pane shows In Progress)
What happens
- The AU10TIX government ID and selfie process completed successfully and issued the Government Issued ID Global credential in Microsoft Authenticator.
- We open the Artifact Signing verification link and scan its QR code.
- Authenticator shares the credential, performs Face Check, and displays “Operation successful.”
- The browser remains indefinitely at “Processing…” and never shows “Verification Successful.”
- Returning to Azure and refreshing leaves the identity validation at Action Required.
We have reproduced this more than 20 times, including with Brave and Safari. The Verified ID and Face Check complete successfully every time; the result appears not to reach or be processed by Artifact Signing.
Could the Artifact Signing / Verified ID team inspect the backend request or reset/complete the handoff? I can provide the identity validation ID, subscription ID, tenant ID, account/resource name, requester email, and timestamps privately.
