Your wife should first share her Microsoft 365 Family subscription with you. She can do this from her Microsoft account by inviting your personal Microsoft account to join the family subscription. After you accept the invitation, you can sign in with your own Microsoft account on your Windows 11 desktop to install and activate Word, Excel, and the other Microsoft 365 apps. Each person uses their own Microsoft account, so your documents, settings, and OneDrive storage remain separate.

To share the subscription, your wife would sign in to her Microsoft Account dashboard, go to Services & subscriptions, select Sharing, and choose Share subscription. She can either send an invitation link or enter the email address associated with your personal Microsoft account. After you receive the invitation, accept it either from the email or by signing in to your own Microsoft account.
