I just upgraded from 365 family to 365 premium. Do I need to reinstall my office package to get access to new benefits or is it automatically available?

You should not need to re-install the Office apps.

Open Word.

Go to File - Account, click the 'Switch Licence' button and on the resulting list you should see the new licence listed there.
