    Hi, John Loader

This usually happens when the Excel workbook has lost its connection to the form, or the question was changed after the workbook was created. Manually editing the response table can also cause individual columns to stop syncing.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

Open the form, select Responses, and check whether the missing answer appears there. If it does, the response was collected correctly and the problem is only with Excel.

From Responses, select Open in Excel again. Make sure you are not using an older downloaded copy or a workbook saved on your desktop.

If available, select More options > Sync all responses to a new workbook. This creates a clean workbook containing the latest response data.

Avoid renaming, deleting, or moving columns in the original response table. Also remove any table or formula added directly inside that table, as manual changes can interrupt syncing.

Submit one new test response and check whether that specific answer appears in the new workbook. If the question uses branching, confirm that the test response actually reaches and answers it.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
