Since 13th July I have only been able to view my word docs, I am now operating Monterey OS but cant upgrade as my Mac is too old. I need to be able to access my docs in word and indesign.
I am not overly techy.

That is great news, I am glad that worked for you.
For the Adobe InDesign and Photoshop apps, they are not Microsoft apps, you would need to contact Adobe Support on their website, they may also be affected by that Apple Security update.
Brilliant it worked, I can now access word, I still need to be able to use indesign and photoshop any ideas on how I can do that ?

Many people are reporting problems with the Office apps on a Mac after the July 13 update, if you have MacOS Monterey (12.7.6), you will first need to uninstall Office, then the last version of Office that will work on MacOS Monterrey is 16.88, that is available on the long table on this link to all the downloadable versions from the Microsoft servers.
