Using a key code to extend my subscription

I need to update my O365 subscription by the end of the month. I entered my new key code and it looks like my account was extended, but it still shows my shared family members as needing to pay. How do I fix this problem?

Hi, @Peter Ells

Please sign in at https://account.microsoft.com/services and check which subscription is now listed as active.

Was the key for Microsoft 365 Family or Microsoft 365 Personal? If it was a Personal key, it will not continue sharing benefits with family members.

If Microsoft 365 Family is active, open https://account.microsoft.com/services/office/sharing and check whether your family members are still listed. You may need to stop sharing and send them a new invitation.

On the Windows PC, also open Word or Excel, then go to File > Account > Update License. Sign in with the Microsoft account that owns the active Family subscription.

Did you redeem the key using the same Microsoft account that originally owned the Family subscription? What exact message are your family members seeing when they are asked to pay?
