No images on email signatures for Outlook for Mac after an update

No images on email signatures (my own or received emails) for New Outlook for Mac after an update, yes it was working fine for a very long time, until a recent Microsoft update, if I switch to legacy Outlook for Mac, it all works fine with visabily of all images in "all" signatures

when an emaiul is sent, the recipient can see all the images in the sginature fine, this is a viewing issue in "New Outlook for Mac"

I can confirm this is a New Outlook for Mac issue specifically. When I insert an image into my email signature (via Insert Picture, drag-and-drop, or copy/paste), it fails to embed — the signature either shows a blank placeholder or nothing at all, both when composing and in received emails.

I've isolated the cause: switching to Legacy Outlook for Mac and rebuilding the same signature with the same image works perfectly every time. The image displays correctly with no issues. This confirms the problem is in New Outlook's signature editor / image handling, not my account, image file, or settings.

Given this is a reproducible regression affecting a core feature (email signatures with a company logo), could this be escalated to the New Outlook for Mac product team rather than handled as a general support case? I'm happy to provide screen recordings, build numbers, or any further diagnostic information needed.

I'd appreciate an update on whether this is a known issue and if there's an ETA for a fix.

    Hi Muhit

Sorry you're going through this. I really appreciate the troubleshooting steps you have already performed, especially testing the same signature and image in both New Outlook for Mac and Legacy Outlook for Mac.

As a forum moderator, I genuinely wish I could directly access your account or review the backend systems to diagnose and resolve this issue for you. However, our role here is limited to providing general guidance by offering clear next steps, sharing applicable resources, and directing you to the appropriate support channels so you can work with the right team to investigate further.

Based on your description, this appears to be specific to New Outlook for Mac. Since the same image works correctly in Legacy Outlook, and recipients are still able to see the signature image after the email is sent, this does not seem to be related to your account, the image file, or general email settings. It looks more like a temporary regression or bug introduced in the recent New Outlook for Mac update, likely affecting how signature images are handled or displayed.

In the meantime, to avoid any impact on your daily work, I recommend using Legacy Outlook for Mac as a workaround, especially when creating, editing, or sending emails that include image-based signatures such as a company logo.

    • I also suggest reporting this issue directly from New Outlook for Mac. Please go to Help > Contact Support, describe the issue in detail, and then select Continue to submit the report. This can help Microsoft collect the relevant app context and diagnostics for further review.
    • User's image

If this is happening in a Microsoft 365 business environment, your IT admin can also report the issue through the Microsoft 365 admin center by following these steps:

    1. Navigate to Health > Service health.
    2. Under the Reported issues tab, select Report an issue.
    3. Complete the form and click Submit.

In addition, the admin can open a support ticket with Microsoft Support through Help & support in the Microsoft 365 admin center so the issue can be reviewed more thoroughly by the appropriate support team.

I hope this helps clarify the situation and move the issue forward. Should you have any further questions or need additional assistance, please feel free to share them in the comment below. I'm very happy to help.

Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
