Managing personal Outlook.com account settings, security, and privacy

I understand how frustrating this is, especially when you already have RDNS set up but SNDS only shows provider contact addresses instead of the address you want to use.
1) Why you only see provider addresses
SNDS verifies access to the sending IPs, not only the domain name.
Please note that you sign in with a Microsoft account and request access to the IPs you are responsible for. The request then goes through an authorization process for those IPs. See: Smart Network Data Services
If SNDS only shows provider addresses, it usually means Microsoft is using the contact information available through the IP ownership or registration path, not the custom email address you entered. RDNS alone does not prove that your preferred email address should receive the SNDS confirmation link.
2) Check who owns or manages the sending IP
Please confirm the IP ownership first:
- Check whether the sending IP is dedicated to you or owned by your hosting/email provider.
- If the IP is provider-owned, ask the provider to approve the SNDS request from one of the addresses shown by SNDS.
- If the provider cannot approve it directly, ask them to forward the SNDS confirmation message to you.
- If you own the IP range, confirm that the public registration or WHOIS contact information is correct and monitored.
3) Use the address SNDS offers, if you can access it
If one of the displayed provider addresses is accessible to you or your provider, use that address for the SNDS confirmation email. SNDS is designed to help senders and ISPs view reputation data for the IPs they control, including detailed data about individual IPs and feedback loop settings.
You can also review Microsoft’s Outlook.com sender guidance here: Sender Support in Outlook.com | Microsoft Support
4) If you cannot access any displayed address
Contact the IP owner, hosting provider, or email provider and ask them to handle the SNDS authorization.
When contacting them, include:
- The IP address or IP range you requested in SNDS
- The provider addresses shown by SNDS
- The Microsoft account you use to sign in to SNDS
- A request for them to approve or forward the SNDS confirmation message
5) If this is an urgent Outlook.com delivery issue
If the issue is not only SNDS access but also mail delivery to Outlook.com, use Microsoft’s sender support guidance.
Deliverability issues submitted through sender support should be related to Outlook.com services, including:
- @outlook.com
- @hotmail.com
- @live.com
- @msn.com
Please tell me how it goes. If SNDS still does not show an address you can access, the next step is to work with the IP owner or hosting provider, because they may be the only party able to receive or approve the SNDS confirmation message.
Please tell me how it goes. If the problem persists, please don’t hesitate to reply to this thread and I will be happy to help. Have a lovely day!
