Does onedrive sync the online and computer photo file description additions?

Same issue. I creatve or edit a caption of a photo while using OneDrive 'On This Day' feature, or using OneDrive web after clicking on the box in the upper right hand corner which shows a caption line beneath the photo. Those 2 scenarios are the only 2 places I can see the Captions. Clicking on the photo in Onedrive and using the info button will not show the caption. Neither does the Onedrive mobile app or another photo viewer like Google Photos.

Any way to fix this or another Android Photo app that will show this Meta Data? I have 100s of photos to c9ntent with. Hope yo7 can help.

If the description is saved in the photo’s file properties or metadata, OneDrive should sync the updated photo file. However, captions or tags added only through the OneDrive website or another Photos app may not appear in the file properties on your computer. OneDrive also uses its own photo-tagging system.

By “photo file description additions,” do you mean the Title or Comments under Properties > Details in Windows, or a caption or tag added on the OneDrive website?

Where are you adding the description, and where are you expecting it to appear?
