I have completed all actions to remove this banner, but nothing works.

Updated License

Updated updates

Cleared credentials

Logged out of all Microsoft programs

Reset password

The Banner still remains.

The chat box request I contact Microsoft Support.

I do not want or need an Upgraded plan, family, or business upgrade.

I am the only one in my household that uses Microsoft.

How do I get rid of this banner.

I have attached a pictureScreenshot for Microsoft.jpg

Mr. Lucus-V,

I contacted Microsoft Support, and the representative stated it is a promotional item and does not affect my subscription. I explained my frustration, as this has been going on for over two months. I understand Microsoft wanting to make customers aware of the upgrade, but continually doing this is like having a salesperson stand in front of you or at your ear saying, "Upgrade, Upgrade. You need to buy all the options available, no matter if you need them. Single people, Families, and Businesses have different needs and pay for what they need and can use. Any business entity should not continually try to sell products.

I appreciate your time and letting me state my frustrations.

Respectfully,

Tina O'Shields

This is pure harassment by Microsoft. I already have a paid plan and I don't want to pay extra. I hope these kinds of nudges will eventually be prohibited by law. It's so rude that I wouldn't pay for it now even if I needed it

    Hi Tina O'Shields,

Based on the troubleshooting you've already completed—including updating your license, installing updates, clearing credentials, signing out of Microsoft applications, and resetting your password—it does not appear that this is an activation or subscription issue.

    Please verify the following:

    1. Sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services and confirm that your subscription is active.
    2. Open an Office application (such as Word or Excel) and go to File > Account.
    3. Confirm that:
      • The product shows Activated.
      • You are signed in with the same Microsoft account that owns the subscription.
      • There are no activation or licensing warnings displayed.

If your subscription is active and Office shows as activated, the "Upgrade Your Plan" banner may be a promotional or account-related notification rather than an indication of a licensing problem. In such cases, local troubleshooting steps may not remove the banner.

If the banner continues to appear after confirming the above, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support, as they have access to account-specific information and can investigate whether the notification is being generated by a backend service.
