SharePoint - OneDrive Sharing

Unfortunately, it is not possible to enable external sharing for OneDrive while completely disabling external sharing for SharePoint at the organization level.

This limitation exists because OneDrive sharing is governed by the SharePoint sharing configuration. In the SharePoint Admin Center > Policies > Sharing, the OneDrive sharing setting cannot be configured to be more permissive than the SharePoint setting.

For example, if you move the SharePoint sharing slider down to "Only people in your organization" (which turns off external sharing), the OneDrive sharing slider will also be restricted and cannot be set to a more permissive level. In other words, OneDrive external sharing can only be the same as or more restrictive than the SharePoint organization-level setting, but not more permissive.
