I want to enable iCloud Backups for the iOS version of the Microsoft Authenticator Application, but the option does not exist within the application itself.

I have carefully followed all directions possible.

  1. I have enabled iCloud drive in my iOS settings
  2. I have enabled iCloud keychain
  3. I have enabled iCloud Backup
  4. Under iCloud Apps, I have enabled Microsoft Authenticator, I have tried toggling it, I have tried toggling it with a delay, I have tried various combinations of restarting the device and toggling this option
  5. I have reinstalled the App

I have tried every possible avenue with customer support from both Microsoft and Apple now for over a week.

I have already read and carefully followed the Microsoft recommendations:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/authenticator/back-up-your-accounts-in-microsoft-authenticator

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/authenticator/microsoft-authenticator-faqs

Every possible attempt fails at the very first point I have to use the Microsoft Authenticator application, open the three lines, open settings, and enable the backup option under settings. The option simply doesn't exist. I have tried from a completely new install, on a completely new phone, and have the same issue, the toggle does not exist.

How can I enable iCloud backup in the Microsoft Application?
