I get the error: F009

ERROR DESCRIPTION: The Software Licensing Service reported that the grace period expired.

Last 5 characters of installed product key: [REMOVED]

When I run the "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office16\OSPP.VBS" /dstatus script. I saw that someone else has the same issue from yesterday, but there was no solution for the user.

Microsoft may want to update their instructions for entering the Product key. "Enter the product key" does not mean copy and paste. You have to manually enter the characters for it to work correctly.

    Hi BRADFORD PEARCE!

From your description, Office 2024 is showing error F009, stating that the Software Licensing Service’s grace period has expired, and the installation is currently not activating successfully.

As an initial step, please make sure your Windows profile has administrator privileges. If it does not, open Control Panel > User Accounts > Change your account type, then set it to Administrator. Then open an Office app, sign out from File > Account, close all Office apps, reopen one, and sign back in with the account associated with your Office license.

If the issue continues, could you clarify the following?

    1. What is the exact Office edition, such as Office Home 2024, Home & Business 2024, or Office LTSC Professional Plus 2024?
    2. Is this a trial, a one-time purchase, a preinstalled copy, or an organization-provided license?
    3. Where did you obtain Office: directly from Microsoft, the computer manufacturer, an employer or school, or a third-party retailer?
    4. Was Office previously activated successfully on this computer, or is this a new installation or transfer from another device?
    5. Are you activating it with a personal Microsoft account or a work or school account?

I look forward to your additional information so we could look into it further!

    Best regards.
