This may mean your account was compromised, or someone is spoofing your email address.

First, check your Sent Items folder. Do you see any of those emails there?

Do you even remember those at all?

If not:

Were those emails asking people to click a link, open an attachment, or give access to their account or computer?

That would help confirm whether this was a hacking or phishing attempt.

That confirms the messages are phishing attempts designed to steal your contacts’ email passwords.

Since it happened again after changing your password, changing the password alone was not enough.

Please use a trusted device and do the following immediately:

Run a full antivirus or malware scan.

Change your Microsoft account password again.

Go to your Microsoft account security page and select Sign out everywhere.

Review Recent activity and mark any sign-ins you do not recognize.

In Outlook.com, check Settings > Mail > Rules and Forwarding. Delete anything you did not create.

Review your security email addresses, sign-in methods, app passwords, and connected apps.

Turn on two-step verification.

Tell your contacts not to open the invitation or enter their login details. Anyone who already entered a password should change it immediately.
