I checked the interface specifications on the ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (2025) official website.
On this model, the only port that supports audio input/output is the 3.5 mm microphone/headphone/headset combo jack.
The USB‑C port supports data transfer, video output, and power delivery, but it does not support USB‑C audio. Because of this, Type‑C earphones cannot be detected or used as an audio device on this laptop.
If you want to use your Type‑C earphones, you can use a USB‑C to 3.5 mm adapter with its own DAC, which works independently of the laptop’s audio hardware.
