Dear Microsoft Support Team,

I am requesting your urgent help regarding my Microsoft account.

On May 1, my Microsoft account was hacked. The attacker removed my original email address and phone number from my account and added another email address instead. As soon as I discovered this, I submitted the Account Reinstatement Form and reported that my account had been compromised. However, I did not receive any response.

Later, I contacted the MSN Services Account Recovery Team. They asked me to verify my identity by providing proof. At that time, I did not follow up seriously because I still had access to my laptop and did not realize how critical recovering my account would become.

About 10 days ago, my laptop's motherboard was repaired. After the repair, when I turned on my laptop, it asked for the BitLocker Recovery Key. I tried using the recovery key I had, but it was rejected. Since my Microsoft account is still hacked and inaccessible, I cannot sign in to retrieve the correct BitLocker Recovery Key stored in my account.

I contacted MSN Services again and this time I submitted all the identity documents they requested. However, instead of reviewing my ownership and identity, I received a response stating that I had abused Microsoft services.

I respectfully request you to understand that any abuse was committed by the hacker after my account was compromised, not by me. Before my account was hacked, my account history was completely legitimate. My identity as the rightful owner should be considered separately from the actions performed by the attacker.

I am a college student, and my laptop contains extremely important academic files, projects, and personal data. Without access to my Microsoft account, I cannot retrieve my BitLocker Recovery Key, which means I may permanently lose all of my data.

I sincerely request you to review my case manually, verify my identity based on the documents I have already submitted, and help me regain access to my Microsoft account so I can retrieve my BitLocker Recovery Key and access my data.

This is extremely important to me, and I would be deeply grateful for your assistance.

Thank you for your time and understanding.

Kind regards,

SARTHAK

Hey there! Nice to meet you!

I'm so sorry you are experiencing this.

Based on your description, the hacker was able to remove the account's primary email address/security info and replace it with their own email address.

Since the security info has been replaced by the hacker, I'm afraid there is no other working method to recover the Microsoft account, and Microsoft Support cannot help either.

Thank you for your understanding.

Best regards,

Darhyl
