Login loop issue after removing child account from family group.

Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my company's account. I had linked it to my personal account, which resulted in the personal account becoming a parental account and the company account becoming a child account.

Recently, I removed this account from the family group using the steps in my profile.

However, now whenever I try to log in to my company account, I am repeatedly asked if I am the guardian or parent, or if it's my own account. When I select 'It's my own account' or 'I am the guardian', the system just logs me out and I cannot access the account to change it or make it a main account.

Can you please advise on how to resolve this issue and regain access to my company account?"

It sounds like there may be an issue with how the account is being identified after it was removed from the Microsoft Family group.

    important things to clarify:

    • Is the company account a Microsoft Entra ID (work/school) account provided by your employer, or is it a personal Microsoft account?
    • Are you seeing this behavior when signing in through a web browser, Windows, or a specific Microsoft service?

If this is a work or school account, Microsoft Family settings normally should not be managed by the end user. In that case, I would recommend contacting your company's IT administrator, as they can verify whether there are account restrictions or sign-in issues on the organization's side.

    Other things you could try:

    • Signing in via an InPrivate/Incognito browser window.
    • Clearing Microsoft account cookies and cached credentials.
    • Testing from a different browser or device.
    • Verifying whether the account can be accessed through the Microsoft 365 portal.

if the issue persists, Microsoft Support or your organization's IT administrator will need to investigate the account status directly.
