Create an Azure account with pay-as-you-go Issue

im trying to create an Azure account with pay-as-you-go pricing, and im inQatarr currently, so my location is set as qatar but I want to use my Malaysian bank Card as the payment, but it's not accepting it, and im not able to change my location to Malaysia to try and fix this. What should I do?

Dear Munieb

Create a new Azure account → set Country = Malaysia → use your Malaysian card.

Microsoft enforces billing country = payment method country due to:

Fraud prevention → stops misuse of cards from other regions
Tax & legal rules → pricing, VAT, and regulations differ by country
Bank verification → card address must match account location

So Azure blocks your Malaysian card because your account is set to Qatar.

Hi Salamat Shah, thank for the help. I did end up doing exactly what you suggested but I thought there would be a way to change my location but apparently not, but thanks for the help
