Is anyone else experiencing issues with the Edit window width in Microsoft Lists?

Has anyone else noticed a change in the width of the Edit window when opening an item in a Microsoft List?

I have been using customized list form configurations, and previously, I was able to display 4–5 columns across the form, along with the comments pane, after applying the Body JSON. Recently, however, the Edit window width appears to be fixed. It no longer adjusts based on my zoom level or screen size, which makes it very difficult to view forms that contain several columns.

I have attached two images to illustrate the difference:

  • Previous layout with wider formatting.
  • __C__urrent narrower fixed-width behavior.

Is there any way to revert this change, or is anyone else experiencing this same issue? This is affecting multiple lists and sites, and the JSON hasn't been updated.

Good day Adrian

Just to gently clarify before we go any further, this is a user‑to‑user support forum. I don’t have the ability to access or investigate individual accounts because this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors, including external Microsoft employees, do not have access to internal systems or the ability to directly take action on Microsoft product features. However, I truly hope I can help review your situation, offer some guidance, and support you in finding the right next steps as best as possible.

Since the customized list form configurations previously worked as expected and the issue is affecting multiple lists across different sites, I recommend reaching out to your IT administrator to create a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Support > Help & Support so they can further investigate the environment and collect diagnostic logs if needed for more in-depth troubleshooting.

Note: In case you do not know who is your IT admin, kindly refer to this article: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin? - Microsoft Support

  • Turn off the "Support Assistant" feature.
  • Use the keyword "Support" to quickly bypass automated suggestions > Select Contact Support.

  • In the ticket description, please clearly describe the issue, including any error messages or codes and the steps you’ve already tried. You can also attach screenshots or screen recordings. Additionally, sharing your preferred contact times may help the support team handle the case more efficiently.

A technical support engineer can perform a remote session to investigate the situation, verify the backend configurations, and run any necessary synchronization tools to resolve the problem. If the issue requires further attention, they can escalate it to a specialized team for deeper analysis.

I hope the support process goes smoothly and your issue is resolved soon. If you have any questions or need further support, please don’t hesitate to reach out at any time.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.
