Setting up future meetings with participants using Teams calendar or Outlook integration
Hi @Naidu Muppaneni,
I wanted to provide you with an update regarding the issue you reported with the Teams Meeting add-in in Outlook.
After reviewing the latest information, this behavior has been identified as a service incident on Microsoft's side and is currently being investigated by the engineering team. At this time, there is no indication that the issue is caused by your Outlook configuration or any action taken on your device.
Here is the official information:
===============
Title: Some users may be unable to schedule Microsoft Teams meetings through the classic Outlook desktop client
Summary of Impact: Some users running Microsoft Teams version 26149.1205.4798.6437 are unable to schedule Microsoft Teams meetings from the classic Outlook desktop client. Although the Teams Meeting add-in appears installed and enabled, it does not display in the Outlook ribbon, preventing direct Teams meeting creation from Outlook. Users with access to the new Outlook client or Microsoft Teams desktop/web apps can still schedule meetings using those alternatives while the issue is being remediated. The incident remains active and is classified as a service degradation (Severity 2).
Current status: We're continuing to expect that the deployment will be complete by the end of Friday, July 3, 2026. Following deployment, we will closely monitor the affected environments over an extended period to confirm that impact has been fully resolved.
Estimated time to resolve: Friday, July 3, 2026
Root cause: A recent service update introduced an incompatibility affecting how the Teams Meeting add-in identifies the appropriate Teams client during initialization in newly configured Outlook environments impact, resulting in impact.

Regarding this issue, since it appears to be related to a broader service incident, you may also consider reaching out to your IT administrator. They will be able to review the latest updates through the Microsoft 365 Service Health Dashboard and, if necessary, engage Microsoft Support for further backend investigation.
As a temporary workaround, Microsoft has indicated that users who have access to New Outlook or the Microsoft Teams desktop application/web may continue using those platforms for creating and managing Teams meetings until the issue has been fully resolved.
Additionally, you may consider submitting feedback directly from within the application. This helps the product team better understand the impact from the user perspective and prioritize improvements. You can typically do this by selecting the "Help" option and then choosing Feedback.
This can help increase visibility of the issue and ensure it is properly captured by the engineering team.
I’m truly sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Please rest assured that Microsoft engineers are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. I appreciate your patience, and please feel free to update me if there are any changes or if you need further assistance.
Warm regards,
