I have a Microsoft 360 basic subscription and will want to transfer that subscription to a new PC soon, what is the process for transferring the subscription to a different Device?

Hello

If you have the "basic", it doesn't come with desktop apps for Office programs like Word, Excel, etc. It is simply just 100GB of OneDrive storage.

In this case, just log into OneDrive with the same account, no need to install anything or transfer.

Are you sure you have the "basic"? If you have personal or family plans, then do this to install.

Please go to https://www.office.com

Sign into the Microsoft account you used for the subscription. Click on Apps on the left.

Then on the upper right, click on "Install apps". This will now download the installer file. Once downloaded, click on the file to install. It will install the Desktop version of the apps for you then.

Hmm, I must have personal as I have Excel, Word, Outlook, and so forth. Is it possible to transfer those programs?

Yes, you can transfer. You can use the second part of the instructions I wrote in my answer above to just go ahead and install.

To double check what subscription you have, you can also go to https://account.live.com > Subscriptions, and see if you have basic or personal.
