Unable to claim Microsoft Office 2024 which came with my laptop

After setting up my laptop I checked the Microsoft store and in the library in included with the device there was Office 2024, so I clicked claim. It opened my word app and told me to login so I logged in with that same Microsoft account that I used for setting up my laptop, then it told me to buy Microsoft 365 subscription, or you will be in read only mode. I closed it and went to account and clicked update license and verified my account once again and after that it keeps showing error. I tried many times with different office apps, but it keeps giving this error. I checked my Microsoft account subscriptions too there too nothing is shown. It would be a great help if anyone can help me fix the issue. Thank you

I did all the steps and when I opened I saw these options and I clicked on continue for free and after that when I logged into my account they started to say to take 365 subscription again, but when I logged in with another email after clicking continue for free it is working fine now

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the "Continue for free" option means that you do not have the full apps for Windows installed. Instead you have mobile apps and online storage, only.

    Most new laptops do not come with a full licence of Office. Most of the time it's trial or 1 month subscription. One thing is having apps installed, but to be able to use them, you need a licence.

    This usually happens when the device’s digital license wasn’t properly linked to your Microsoft account during setup, or when the Office installation is still tied to the refurbisher’s configuration. The good news is that it’s fixable.

    Here’s what you can do:

    Sign out of all Office apps and close them completely.

    Go to Settings → Accounts → Access work or school and disconnect any old organization accounts.

    Open Control Panel → Programs → Apps & Features, select Microsoft Office 2024, and choose Repair.

    After repair, restart the laptop and sign in again with your own Microsoft account (the one you used to claim the license).

    1. If the error persists, reinstall Office from the Microsoft Store

    I face exactly the same problem with my asus tuf f16 what you do my brother and I also use minor account of Microsoft does it that a problem or I should create new account what exactly you do please let me know
