Hi there, I recently did a factory reset on my operating system, deleting all files and choosing the cloud download option. I want to play some games, but it seems like DirectX isn't working. When I open the Run dialog and type dxdiag to launch the tool, I get the following error: 'DXDIAGN.DLL failed to load'.

I've already tried reinstalling DirectX, updating the Visual C++ redistributables, and updating all my drivers. Additionally, I have already run both the sfc /scannow and DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth commands, but absolutely nothing has worked so far.

I also want to add that when trying to install DirectX the installation fails, I have tried several ways to install it and none of them work.

Update: I was able to install DirectX using the installer, but when running dxdiag, the same error still appears.

Search for msinfo32.exe in the search bar, take a screenshot, and post it here so can see the correct laptop model or desktop configuration.

Based on the screenshot you provided, the iGPU driver failed to load, which is likely causing the issue with DxDiag.

I recommend using DDU.

Note: DDU is a third-party application used to completely uninstall and reinstall GPU drivers.

After downloading, extract DDU to a folder.

Run the Display Driver Uninstaller application, select the "Device type" tab, and choose "GPU". After uninstalling the GPU driver, ensure you uninstall it for "All GPUs".

Click the first option, "Clean and restart", and wait for the process to complete.

After running DDU, install the following drivers:

I've done everything, and the same error persists. In addition, I downloaded the 'Graphics Tools' optional feature for Windows, and it didn't fix it. It's weird because I install DirectX and the last time it actually passed the check, but then I tried it again and it throws an error. I'm attaching the installation logs to see if you can spot something I'm missing.

You are using the "N" version, which is why you are experiencing this issue:

We could try reinstalling within Windows 10 normally, or try installing the Media Feature Pack again (though you mentioned that didn't work).

I recommend reinstalling via USB; I can guide you through that process if you'd like to try it.

Check your memory and check PCI Express slot details its down show your graphics card details. take screenshot and share here. will check what is issue there.

Ok,

Press windows + R type devmgmt.msc check your display and graphics any issue persists their and share the screenshot.

1.

are you able to uninstall the driver just uninstall and restart PC then try to install your graphics driver.

2.

Search in net download latest driver from internet and install. May be solve your issue.

3.

Suppose latest driver not helpful download previous version and install that also may be solved your issue.

Please try the above solutions and update.

Still facing issue or resolved.

Suppose not yet resolved press windows key in search box type eventviewer go-to windows logs > application and system check any error message persists if any error take screenshots and share here.
