Retaining OneDrive Files When Moving Users to a New Family Plan

We currently have a Microsoft 365 Family Plan with several users who have files stored in their OneDrive. If we cancel that Family Plan and then add the same user (same email address) to a different Family Plan, will they retain access to all of their previously stored OneDrive files?

There may be a brief gap of a few days between canceling the first plan and adding them to the new one.

The reason we want to cancel the existing Family Plan and open a new Family Plan is because we want to change the owner/manager of the account. Microsoft does not allow you to change the email address on a Family Plan account nor transfer the account to someone else, so this is our solution.
