I have been using Onenote for several years and have to migrate to Evernote now.

This is totally against user experience and habit. The embedded list/table is such a pain to use and conceptually wrong. For a note, table is just an embedded element, while the focus is always the story. Now the main stage is for the table and the Artificial Stupidity copilot. Let alone the buggs that the embedded images and links stop working.

It totally ruined a specialized a note-taking tool. If the previous, right version is not coming back, I will just quit onenote for evernote.

Extremely disappointed!

Agree about some of the new updates to OneNote.

In 1981, the concept of radio buttons appeared and they were round.

Check boxes go all the way back to 1973. They have always been square... like check "BOXES".

How is it my new update of OneNote has check circles. It is a checkbox and boxes are normally square, no?

This change has no merit and does not follow visual traditions.

Is this a sign of too much AI input into a project?

    Hi @Yongli Shan,

I completely understand how frustrating this experience must be, especially after using OneNote for a long time and being used to a certain workflow. Changes in layout or functionality can really impact how natural note‑taking feels.

I want to be transparent that as a forum moderator, my support is limited to basic troubleshooting steps and guidance, and I don’t have the authority to change product behavior or fix issues directly. For concerns like this (design changes, bugs with images/links, or feature behavior), the best way to have your voice heard is to submit feedback directly to the product team.

    How to submit feedback:

1/ In OneNote: go to Help > Feedback > Report a problem or Make a suggestion

    User's image

2/ Use Feedback Portal where your ideas or suggestions can be shared.

    User's image

This allows others to see and upvote your suggestion and helps product development team better understand user needs and prioritize improvements. Feedback is the best way to push for a more integrated, long‑term improvement in app, the more voices they hear, the greater the chance we’ll see enhancements in future updates.

I apologize for the inconvenience this have caused you and thank you for your understanding and feedback.
