Outlook on one of my shared device cloned

Outlook on the shared device in addition to showing the email address of the devices owner is showing an email address for what looks like someone from Vietnam. The account is all in what appears to be Vietnamese and the times on the emails when received are ahead of UK time. Do not know what to do to remove cloned account.

First, please let me know:

  • Are you using Outlook.com on the web or the Outlook desktop app? You can refer to: What version of Outlook do I have?
  • Is the Vietnamese email address shown as the account you are signed into, or does it appear only in the From field when composing messages?
  • Does the issue occur for all users of the shared device, or only for your Windows profile?

If you are using Outlook.com in a web browser, please try the following:

  1. Sign out of Outlook.com completely.
  2. Open an InPrivate/Incognito browser window and then sign in to Outlook.com:
  3. After signing in, click your profile picture in the top-right corner and verify:
    • The email address currently signed in
    • Whether "Switch account" or "Sign in with another account" shows any unexpected accounts
  4. If the Vietnamese email address appears in the account list, remove it.
  5. If the issue is related to email timestamps being shown in Vietnam time, go to Settings > General > Language and time and confirm the configured time zone.
