New Update for M365 Subscription?

Hello Team,

We recently noticed that for any newly created user with Business basic subscription, the mailbox storage shows as 100 gb mailbox storage.

When we removed the 50 gb additional storage from above screenshot, the mailbox would go back to 50 GB.

No other license assigned to the user except for Business Basic.

Is there any update from Microsoft about this?
