Microsoft Authenticator backup recovery

Hello Microsoft Support,

I need help with Microsoft Authenticator.

I previously used Microsoft Authenticator for two-step verification on my Rockstar Games account. I lost access to the Authenticator app and I no longer have the verification codes.

My Rockstar Games login and password are accepted correctly, but the website asks for a six-digit code from Microsoft Authenticator. Without this code, I cannot sign in.

I still have access to my Microsoft account and I can verify ownership if needed.

Please help me check whether a Microsoft Authenticator backup exists for my Microsoft account and explain how I can restore the saved authenticator entries on my device.

I would like to know:

Can Microsoft Authenticator entries be restored from a backup?

How do I start the recovery process on a new device?

What should I do if the Microsoft Authenticator backup was not enabled?
