i would like to cancel my free trial

To cancel a Microsoft 365 free trial, the steps depend on whether it is a personal (home) subscription or a business subscription.

For Microsoft 365 Family / personal trials:

1. Go to the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services.
2. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to start the trial.
3. Under the Microsoft 365 subscription, check what is shown:
   • If a Cancel link appears, select Cancel and follow the prompts.
   • If there is no Cancel link and it shows Paid with: None, the trial will end on the Expires on date and no charges will be made.
   • If there is a Turn on recurring billing link, recurring billing is already off and the trial will end on the Expires on date with no further charges.

For Microsoft 365 for business trials (admin center):

1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
2. Turn off recurring billing for the trial subscription by following the steps in the recurring billing article referenced in the context.
3. The trial will automatically expire at the end of the trial period and the credit card will not be charged.

If the trial or subscription was purchased through a partner or reseller, contact that partner to cancel according to the partner’s process.
