I have recently formatted by laptop as I was doing a minor upgrade on my hardware.

However, when I tried to activate my Office 2019 over the internet, I kept receiving the following message :-

"We're sorry, something went wrong and we can't do this for you right now. Please try again later. (0xC004C060)"

We have tried all the steps mentioned in the online help but nothing is working.

Please help.

Error 0xC004C060 means the Office product key is no longer valid, so normal online activation steps will not work.

When this error appears during activation of Office 2019, the key has typically been blocked because it was stolen, abused, or otherwise obtained fraudulently. In this situation, activation over the internet or by phone cannot succeed.

    To proceed:

    1. Contact the seller of the Office 2019 key and request a refund, explaining that the key returns error 0xC004C060 and is blocked.
    2. If the key was purchased separately from the software (for example, just a code on a card or label), treat it as likely non-genuine.
    3. If a refund is not possible and Office 2019 is still required, purchase a new, genuine license directly from Microsoft or another trusted retailer. When shopping for a new key, follow Microsoft’s guidance on safer shopping and avoid product keys sold separately from full, legitimate software.

The existing key cannot be repaired or reactivated once it has been invalidated with 0xC004C060.
