Follow these steps to try to recover the hacked Microsoft account and Minecraft access:

    1. Run a malware/virus scan on the PC
      • Use an up‑to‑date antivirus or Windows Defender to do a full scan before changing any passwords. This helps ensure the attacker cannot immediately steal new passwords.
    2. Use the official hacked‑account recovery guide
      • Go through the steps in How to recover a hacked or compromised Microsoft account. It will direct to the correct self‑help or support options based on the email/phone entered.
      • Start here: Start.
    3. Try to reset or change the Microsoft account password
    4. If normal reset fails, submit the Microsoft account recovery form
      • Use the guidance in Help with the Microsoft account recovery form.
      • Prepare another working email address that can receive messages about the recovery request.
      • Fill in as much accurate information as possible (old passwords, approximate account creation date, locations, and any other details requested). This is the only way Microsoft can verify ownership when security info was changed.
      • After submitting, wait for the result email (usually within 24 hours). If not verified, the form can be tried again, up to two times per day.
    5. If the hacker changed all security info and recovery keeps failing
      • According to Microsoft guidance and community answers, if the security information (email/phone, 2FA methods) has been replaced and the recovery form cannot verify ownership, the Microsoft account cannot be recovered and Support cannot override this.
    6. Minecraft‑specific help
      • If the Microsoft account cannot be recovered, contact Minecraft Support with the purchase proof (order screenshot, key, dates, etc.) to see if they can offer any alternative options for Minecraft access. Use the Minecraft support link provided in the community answers.
    7. After regaining access (if successful)
      • Review account security: check connected accounts, forwarding, and automatic replies to ensure nothing malicious remains.
      • Add additional secure sign‑in methods (phone, alternate email) on the Advanced security options page so recovery is easier in the future.
