8 digits code instead of 6 (roblox ask me code of 6 digits to recover my account)

Roblox expects a 6‑digit code generated by its own 2FA setup. An 8‑digit code from Microsoft Authenticator usually belongs to a different account or a different type of OTP and will not work where a 6‑digit Roblox code is required.

To resolve this, use only the Roblox-specific 2FA entry in Microsoft Authenticator (or another authenticator app) that was created when Roblox 2-step verification was originally set up. If the app is showing an 8‑digit code, it means the stored secret does not match what Roblox expects, or it is not the correct account entry. In that case, remove 2FA for Roblox from the Roblox account (if still logged in somewhere) and reconfigure 2FA following Roblox’s instructions so that a 6‑digit TOTP is created. If access is already lost and only 8‑digit codes are available, follow Roblox’s account recovery process, as Microsoft Authenticator cannot convert or shorten an 8‑digit code to a 6‑digit one.

If Microsoft Authenticator is also used for Microsoft accounts, ensure that the correct account entry is selected; codes for Microsoft services will not work for Roblox.
