I am a 365 family account and I need to use AZURE for a project. Do I have to upgrade to an expensive business 365 program to have AZURE?

Azure is separate from Microsoft 365 Family. There is no requirement to upgrade to a Microsoft 365 business subscription to use Azure.

To use Azure with an existing Microsoft 365 Family account:

    1. Create or use the same Microsoft account that is used for Microsoft 365 Family.
    2. Choose how to get an Azure subscription:
      • Sign up for a free Azure account with $200 credit and 12 months of free services: this creates a pay‑as‑you‑go Azure subscription tied to the same Microsoft account.
      • Or create a pay‑as‑you‑go Azure account directly if ongoing usage is expected.
    3. Sign in to the Azure portal with that Microsoft account to manage resources.

Microsoft 365 business plans can be combined with Azure, but they are not required just to access or use Azure.
