Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
Hello, Ester Giménez.
There are some limitations that can lead to this problem.:
- One license per PC. That is, before installing Office on a new laptop, you need to remove this Office from the old PC (if it was installed).
- The key is redeemed on a specific account. If you reinstall Office on another account, the key may be invalid. When reinstalling on the "correct" account, the key is not required (activation should take place automatically when logging into the account in any of the Office applications.
Check these two conditions and if everything is fine, but the problem exists, then contact a support specialist in the chat. To do this, log in to your Microsoft account on the https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/home/contact?SourceApp=smc2&ContactUsExperienceEntryPointAssetId=www.microsoft.com
In the search bar, type (without quotes) "agent support" and press Enter or click on Get Help. Ignore the search results, and click on the "Contact Support" button at the bottom. On the next page, select "Microsoft 365 and Office" and "Technical Support" from the drop-down lists, and then click on "Confirm". Next, select the chat "Chat with a support agent in your web browser" and on the next page, enter (if requested) your (the one that works) email address and click on "Confirm". A chat window will open in a new tab. Wait for the specialist's response and describe the situation. After checking the license, you will be able to restore Office activation on your new laptop.
