Hey, so i have a problem concerning that every-time i try to login to lunar, it says i need to be part of a family, but my Microsoft account shows i am not a minor, and I am, and never was part of an already existing family, where i have to leave.

Thanks for reaching out. It looks like the date of birth on the Microsoft account is wrong, or the account was flagged as a child account at creation and never had parental consent completed.

I'd try these in order:

Check the DOB first at https://account.microsoft.com/profile — make sure it actually reflects an adult age (18+). If it's wrong, correct it and save. Microsoft's official guide for that is here in case you hit the "parent or guardian consent required" prompt — it walks through the consent flow you'd need.
If the DOB is already 18+ but Lunar still blocks you, then Xbox services probably still has the account tagged as a minor. Easiest reset is to have an adult Microsoft account sign into https://family.microsoft.com, add your account as a member, complete any consent prompts, give it a few minutes to propagate, then retry.
After either fix, fully sign out of your Microsoft account everywhere and sign back in before relaunching Lunar — otherwise it tends to keep using the cached "underage" state.

If both routes still leave you stuck, it might be worth opening a ticket with Lunar Client support since the final entitlement check is on their end.

Hey, So after I posted this, I changed my birth year to the year 2000, instead of 2006. This made allowed me to log in to lunar this time. Is there a reason to why this worked since both years would mean i am 18+?

Glad it sorted itself out — and honestly, that's a fair question. Mathematically both 2000 and 2006 should land you as 18+, so on paper it shouldn't have mattered.

The most likely reason is a quirk in how Microsoft (and Xbox/Minecraft auth on top of it) handles accounts that were originally created as a minor. If the account was made years ago with a child DOB, Microsoft sets an internal "child account / needs parental consent" flag, and that flag doesn't always clear cleanly just because the DOB later edits to an adult age.

My guess at what happened in your case: bumping the year to 2006 still left you fairly close to the 18 boundary, and the backend may have held onto the older consent state. Pushing it to 2000 made the account look like it had always been comfortably adult, which likely triggered a cleaner re-evaluation and dropped the leftover child flag. So nothing you did was wrong with 2006 — it's more that Microsoft's age-state machine isn't as straightforward as "year math = adult.".
